Founding of Aquinas Law Alliance LLP. AQLA is formed by a group of like-minded partners formerly from Dacheng Wong Alliance LLP, Singapore's first China-Singapore joint venture law firm. From inception, the Firm is built around Corporate Law/M&A, Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property, and Private Client/International Real Estate — with a distinct cross-border, China-Singapore orientation.
Building the Cross-Border Platform. The Firm establishes itself in Singapore's boutique legal market, growing its corporate, dispute resolution, and private client practices. Early groundwork is laid for the regional and international alliances that would later come to define AQLA's market positioning. Growing from 6 headcounts to 15 headcounts.
Growing our Capabilites – Integra Solutions Pte Ltd. The Firm is named to the ST Singapore's Best Law Firms list (from 2022) and is ranked by Chambers and Partners for Singapore Startups & Emerging Companies (from 2023), marking its emergence in the upper tier of Singapore's boutique law firms. The firm also acquired a several corporate secretarial practices and formed Integra Solutions Pte Ltd to be the corporate secretarial arm of Aquinas Law.
AQLA is named “Singapore Law Firm of the Year” at the Asialaw Client Choice Awards 2024 — a career-defining recognition for the Firm. The same year, AQLA is recognised across Capital Markets, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Technology & Telecommunications in Asialaw Profiles, and as a Notable firm for Capital Markets in IFLR1000. By now Aquinas Law had reached a headcount o close to 40. We also ointed our first female partner Nichola Koh.
